Dear Colleagues, Parkinson's Disease Experts, healthcare professionals, patients and carers,
From 11th to 20th of July the third international Parkinson's Disease Summerschool for healthcare students takes place in Warsaw Poland. This summerschool takes a multi disciplinary and multi professional approach to research on Parkinson's Disease. The outcome of the summerschool will consist of 3 research project proposals. One in basic sciences research, one in translational research and one in applied research.
We are looking for patients, carers and professionals of all healthcare professionals engaged in diagnosis, treatment and care for patients with Parkinson's Disease. Junior as well as senior professionals are welcome to take part in our review committee. The students will be challenged to present their research ideas in a language understandable to you, so you can make a judgement on the relevance from your personal or professional perspective on the work which was carried out by the participants of our summerschool.
If you chose to take part in the review you will receive 1 to 3 research project proposals on the 18th of July on 16:30 and an evaluation form to be completed before 19th of July 16:30. The approximate amount of work is 1 hour. Additionally you will be invited (not compulsory) to join our online conference, where you may direct questions to the students to earn a deeper understanding in their intended project and to verify their understanding of the topic. All professional reviewers will have their name published on our summerschool website (on request we can also send you a digital certificate stating your effort). Patient / Carer reviewers will not be exposed on the website for privacy reasons.
Â
The summerschool will yield fresh ideas and perspectives of young people with an interest in Parkinson's Disease whom will dig deep into this challenging disease to find the questions that need to be asked on the road towards solutions.Â
If you are interested in helping us out, we will send you additional detailed information and a formal sign up form. Please direct inquiries at
